Gillingham have captured Jodie Mugford from Millwall Lionesses. Jodie has spent her entire career to date with the Lions so for her to decide to move down the A2 to Gillingham especially after the Lions just gained promotion to the National League shows that the Gills are keen to put Kent on the map in Womens football.
Jodie joined Millwall as a 12 year old and quickly emerged through the ranks, even maing her first team debut at the age of 15. She also was recoignised by the England camp as she was in the U17 setup.
On moving to Gillingham, Jodie said ” I have joined an up and coming club of which all the staff have massive ambitions for success, which is also attracting players from the higher leagues. I look forward to working my way back upthe leagues with Gillingham in the next few seasons, but would equally like to thank Millwall for making me the player I am today.”
