Welwyn Garden City Preview

Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on August 28, 2009

welwyngardencityGillingham Ladies hit the road this Sunday for there first away match of the campaign. They travel to Hertfordshire to face Welwyn Garden City F.C. Last season Welwyn Garden City was in the promotion race right up to the last month of the season when they fell off the pace. However over the summer the team have struggled to keep that team and the management together. So far this season W.G.C have struggled with heavy defeats to Ebbsfleet Utd (7-0) & Northampton Town (9-0) see’s them at the bottom of the league, so for them to have to face the inform strike force of Hincks & Crienan must be a daunting prospect.

Last season, W.G.C beat the Gills both times, a narrow 2-1 win at Woodstock Park, and a 2-0 victory when they played there games in the later part of the season at Ware F.C

Kick Off as normal is 2pm.
