Gills beat Enfield to stroll into Third Round

Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on November 29, 2009

fawomenscupGillingham Ladies made it an FA Cup double for Gillingham FC by following up the men’s team’s 1-0 win over Burton Albion with a 3-0 win away at Enfield to book their place in the Third Round of The FA Women’s Cup.

Goals from Natalie Crinean, Danni Farmer and Ashlee Hincks, plus an all-important clean sheet from the Gills back four, ensured Gillingham Ladies’ progression to the next round, where they face the possibility of a fixture against one of the bigger sides in Women’s Football.

FA Women’s Cup holders Arsenal don’t enter the competition until the Fourth Round, but Gillingham, fresh from their victory against their closest league rivals in Round Three, will fear nobody as they look forward to the next round.
