We now need you to vote for her as what she has achieved this year is remarkable.
To excel in one sport is a fantastic achievment, especially to be recoignised internationally, but for Dee she has excelled in two sports, being internationally recoignised in both Football & Cricket.
This year has seen Deanna move from Gillingham’s Centre Of Excellence to the first team, and she has cemented her place in midfield alongside the experienced Danielle Farmer and Jodie Mugford, she has assisted many times for Ashlee Hincks & Natalie Crinean and got on the score sheet herself several times.
Just last week her rewards for football was another callup to the England U17 Squad.
Gillingham’s Centre of Excellence Director Pete Sayer expressed his delight “Deanna has been a credit to herself, her family and Gillingham Football Club. She is a naturally talented young sportswoman who consistently performs at a high level whilst maintaining a highly professional attitude. She maintains her commitment, drive and focus towards self improvement and gives her all for the teams she plays in.
On top of this Deanna has been keen to work with younger players and has on numerous occasions given up her time to help with coaching sessions.”
As well as football, she has won the National Championship in Cricket with Kent, and also represented England too. After winning the National Championship the whole of there team was invited up to Buckingham Palace to pick up there medals from the Duke of Edingburgh.
