Ash rejects Lions approach
Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on February 19, 2010
Ashlee Hincks is fully focused on the Gills winning the League and cup double, and promotion to The FA Southern Premiership, as she has rejected a move to National Premiership Millwall Lionesses.
With a staggering 52 goals so far this season Ashlee has been hot property in the Womens game. When the Gills signed her from the National Premiership team Watford it seemed to surprise most of the other womens teams, insinutating that the Gills was paying for her services, which was far from the truth.
Ashlee is a local girl and training now takes her just 10 minutes instead of previous 90 minutes around the M25. She has settled in really well at the Gills and just tonight was at the launch of the first ever Gillingham Ladies Football School, along with Kim Bolden, Natalie Crinean & Becky Lyon.
However Millwall are not the first team to show interest in Ash’s services, although they are the first team to make an official seven day approach.
Ash who has previously spent her career in the National Premiership with Charlton, Fulham and Watford, has also played in the Womens FA Cup final and represented England at several levels is determined to take the Gills up to the top flight.
