Sundays Fixture Changes
Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on February 22, 2010
With the weather being the only winner on Sunday, this Sundays fixtures have had to change for both teams.
The first team who was due to face Ebbsfleet United in the league, now have to play Sundays postponed game against Ashford in the Quarter Final of the Kent Cup.
In fact the only Kent Cup tie that was played on Sunday was Ebbsfleet as they lost 1-0 at home to Charlton Athletic. Charlton will face the winners of Rusthall or Millwall in the Semi final. Whilst the winners of Ashford v Gillingham will meet either Long Lane or Dartford.
Semi Finals will be played March 21st, with the Final being played Thursday 8th April at Sevenoaks F.C ground.
Because of the fixture pile up, to date both teams have had 7 games postponed, the League have requested that the Gillingham v Ebbsfleet match be played midweek.
Lordswood today have offered Thursday March 25th as a free date which has been put to Ebbsfleet United.
The reserves who was due to face Anchorians Reserves away this Sunday will now face Gravesham in the Double fixture. This game will take place at home. To clarify a double fixture, there will be two games back to back, and will (I think) be 30 minutes each way. This is because we have still yet to meet in the league this season.
Another change for the reserves is now March 14th, which was the original date of this double header, Gills will now face Deal Town at home.
