Edwards: I am confident

Gills Ladies Reserves are closing in on their own League triumph this season as they go into the final two games of the season.
Sean Edwards’s side go into the remaining two games knowing that two wins will seal the South East Counties Division One East title.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s game against Milton and Fulston, Sean said: “Milton are a side that have improved over the season, they drew with Ashford who we drew with.
“It will be a tough game I think, we beat them at home 4-1, we ended up with ten players that was the day that Leanne, but I am confident that we will win the game.
“They have brought a couple of new players during the season and it will be a far tougher game than we have had lately. I put it on the same par as the games against Ashford and Whitehawk.”
Just a few weeks ago the Gills title chances were out of their hands when they drew with Ashford and Sean took time to reflect on the game.
He added: “I thought they were quite well organised they came with a squad of sixteen players and we were more hurt by refereeing decisions than their play.
“The big disappointment for our girls was that we only got to play them once this season. I think if we had played them twice we would have taken at least three points off them.”
Last weekend the Reserves win over Anchorians and Ashford’s defeat meant that the title swung back the Gills way.
Giving his opinion on the title race, he said: “That is all credit to the girls that they have kept going especially after the points deduction at the start of the season.
“We were effectively five points down before the season even got under way; to come back from that situation we have done unbelievably. To get it back into our own hands with two games to go that is all we could have ever asked for.
“Now we have got the advantage back again, we know if we take six points from the last two games then the Championship is ours. We aren’t bothered what Ashford does at this stage as it doesn’t matter if they win all their games; we just have to win our two.”
Amazingly despite the points deduction the Reserve team have remained unbeaten in the League all season and the manager is rightly proud of them.
He added: “It has been an unbelievable season really, and an incredible run to get to this stage and not to have lost a game.
“It is the players who have done it, it isn’t down to me I haven’t made any saves or scored any of the goals, it is all down to them and if they pull it off I will make sure they get the credit they deserve.”
