FA Southern Premier League teams

Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on May 17, 2010

The Gills will be joining the elite next season after the first team won their League.

Both teams will now join The FA Southern Premiership, with the reserves joining the Reserve League.

This is an exciting venture for the ladies and after the final promotion into the League was confirmed on Sunday by the South West Combination League, the League has finally taken shape and the Gills enter into a 10 team competition along with:-

West Ham United

Keynsham

Cardiff

Portsmouth

Queens Park Rangers

Charlton Athletic

Brighton & Hove Albion

Colchester United

Yeovil Town

There are still a couple of team issues in the Reserve League, but it is thought they will be in an eight team League, competing in Divsion Two.

Meanwhile the Gills have started plans for pre-season friendlies, and we are pleased to announce that National Premiership side Millwall will visit us on Thursday 29th July.

The Premier League AGM will take place at Nottingham County FA on June 13th when the start of the season will be announced.
