League Cup Groups Announced

This afternoon saw the draw for the FA Women’s Premier League Cup and the Gills have been handed a tough draw.
The Gills have been drawn against Millwall Lionesses, Charlton Athletic and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The format for the coming season has changed, with a group stage replacing the traditional knock out stages.
Groups are made up on a geographical basis with three Southern Premiership teams and one National Premiership team.
The Gills have been drawn in the same group as Brighton and Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic and Millwall Lionesses.
The two best placed teams in the group and the best two third placed teams then progress to the knockout stages. These teams will then compete in the usual knock out way through the Round of 16 through to the finals.
