Gillingham Ladies are proud to announce the launch of Gills Ladies TV in partnership with Purple Pig Productions.
The dedicated channel will have regular features and interviews across the football season from both the players and management. There will be highlights of games, and monthly roundups of both the First and Reserve teams.
By working in partnership with Purple Pig Productions it allows the club to use specialist editors, voice over and graphics to make the finished products look as professional as possible.
Chris Neilson Creative Director of Purple Pig Productions was only to keen to join forces with the number one women’s football team in Kent.
He said: “Purple Pig Productions are very pleased to be a part of an this exciting new project with Gillingham Ladies FC, over the course of the season we hope to develop a TV channel which any football club would be proud of.
The channel provides the club with a unique opportunity to add a unique feature to their already successful website.
The players are fully behind the venture and will be taking part in a number of features during training sessions and have suggested a number of fun features that they want to take part in during the season.
It will be very much a learning curve for both Purple Pig and Gillingham Ladies but one that the Club have every confidence will add to the success on the pitch.
First Team Manager Ian Varley is looking forward to fans being able to watch highlights of matches and interviews with players on a regular basis.
He said: “Once Again the club continues to move forward off the pitch. The introduction of the TV channel is something I’m sure not many clubs have, not even super league clubs and a huge thank you must go to our acting media manager Chris Dicketts and Chris Neilson from Purple Pig productions.
“The TV Channel will provide an insight into what goes on behind the scenes as well as match highlights, player interviews, training highlights and much more. The players will be treated like professional footballers and that’s always the aim with everything we do. Over the past 12 months we have become the most talked about club in the game with our success both on and off the pitch and we continue to set the bar in Women’s Football in more ways than one.”
The channel will launch in August with footage and interviews from the Ladies pre-season games and training sessions.
