Become a Gillingham Ladies F.C Mascot
Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on September 8, 2010
How would your son or daughter like to become a mascot for Gillingham Ladies F.C ?
For the Portsmouth match seven-year-old Eloise Huntingdon became mascot for the day, and thinking it would just be a case of leading the team out onto the pitch, she and her parents were amazed at how the ladies looked after the young mascot.
Eloise was dressed in a Gills kit, she was then hijacked by Ashlee Hincks and took part in there basic warm up of stretches and sprints, before having Lauren Phillips treat her to a few ball skills, and whilst the girls really focused on the warmup, injured players Jodie Mugford and Club Captain Becky Lyon spent time pinging a few balls to each other.
She was invited into the changing room to get her programme signed by all the players, and even sat in on manager Ian Varley’s team talk. Before leading out the team with Vicky Ashton- Jones. This was finished off by having the privlidge of joining in on the Gills Ladies team huddle.
