Gills to take on Gunners

Gillingham Ladies can today exclusively reveal that they will take on Arsenal Ladies in a prestigious friendly next Thursday evening.
This is an exciting opportunity for the Ladies to play against some of the top women’s players in the Country.
Everyone involved with Gillingham Ladies FC are looking forward to testing themselves against the number one club in women’s football.
Manager Ian Varley is particularly excited about taking on the Gunners, he said: “I am looking forward to seeing my players test themselves against the best women’s football team in the Country.”
The game represents an excellent opportunity for football fans to come along and watch two top sides in the women’s game.
Director of Football Martin Andrews, said: “If you had said to me two seasons ago we would be playing Arsenal, I would have laughed. However, these are the teams we are now facing week in week out.
“Sadly circumstances meant we could not hold the game at our home ground (Lordswood F.C) but I am extremely grateful to all the committee at Chatham Town F.C who have shown great enthusiasm in getting this game on. I would say to anyone who wants to see a top class football match to come and watch this game, Arsenal FC are full of international players. This game will give our players the hunger to push forward even more”
