Charlton game postponed
Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on November 28, 2010
Yet another League game is postponed for Gills Ladies as this time the frost has rendered the pitch at Martin Grove unplayable. So today’s game against Charlton is off.
Due to the plumeting temperatutes over the last few days the pitch hasn’t actually thawed out during the day and as a result it is rock hard under foot.
The pitch is therefore unplayable at the moment and a decision was taken early on to postpone the game for the safety of players and fans alike.
The Gills will now not have played a game for a month in the League as the postponements have hit earlier in the season than they did last time out. Fixture pile ups are something everyone is keen to avoid but on some occasions postponements just can not be helped.
As soon as dates are set for the rearranged fixtures we will bring you news of them right here at www.gillinghamladies.co.uk
