Midfielder called up by England

Midfielder Deanna Cooper has been called into the England Under 19 Training squad to be held in January 2011.
The Call up caps a remarkable year for the 17 year old midfielder who played a staring role in the Ladies promotion to the Southern Premiership.
In addition to representing her Country at Football Deanna is a regular in the England set up for Cricket as well, highlighting just how talented that she is.
Tlaking about Deanna’s call up manager Ian Varley, said: “This is great news for Dea, she works hard on and off the pitch every week and has been one of a number of players who have played well for the Club consistently.
“She has played a major part in the Club’s success in the last season and a half and I am delighted that she is being recognised for her achievements by the National Set up.”
The Camp takes place from Monday 24th to Friday 28th January and the midfielder will be put through her paces by the England coaching staff. The news caps off a wonderful year for Deanna and Gillingham Ladies FC.
