The Weekend Preview: Semi-finals day is finally here
Published by Gillingham Ladies Media on February 18, 2011
The Reserves take centre stage this weekend as they travel to West Kent side Rusthall.
This is the first time the Reserves have made a semi final and it is fitting that they could qualify for their first final, in the inaugural Kent Plate.
Their opponents this weekend Rusthall are currently 5th in the South East Counties League Division One West, thanks to a 5-0 win over Haywards Heath and will represent a tough challenge for the Ladies.
It has been a while since the Reserves have played a competitive game. In that game they beat rivals Millwall 3-1 to secure promotion. A week later and they secured the title without kicking a football.
Despite not playing a game for a while the squad have been training hard to prepare for their semi-final clash.
The Reserves have been in great goal scoring form in recent games and also boast an impressive defensive record which will make them hard to break down.

Oh, noooo… that’s the worst, girl… I’ve been there… it’s no fun at all. Especially at work, when one of your co-workers is in the bhoartom… and you have to ‘go’… and she won’t leave… argh!!!
