Gills Ladies Reserves 4-1 Malgo Ladies

The Reserves got more valuable game time in the run up to the new season as Malgo provided the opposition on Wednesday evening.
They ran out comfortable 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Anelle Massey, Alex Witham, Whitney Judd and Kylie Overton.
The first chance of the game went to the Gills as Temi headed onto Alex Witham who hit her shot over the bar.
In the seventh minute a Whitney Judd corner was cleared back to her and she sent a ball back across the box, Lou Jackson hit her shot over the bar.
With 10 minutes on the clock Whitney Judd was fouled. Anelle Massey stroked the free kick round the wall and into the top corner from 20 yards to make it 1-0.
A minute later a Whitney Judd left footed cross was met by Temi but her header went over the bar.
A Whitney Judd cross in the 16th minute was flicked on by Temi to Becky Lyon who forced the Malgo keeper into a good save. Temi’s second corner was put just wide by Kirsty Goodall after a flick on from Lou Jackson.
On 30 minutes Amy Russ tried her luck from distance but saw her shot turned on the bar by the keeper.
A minute later a great through ball by Whitney Judd sent Alex Witham away and she placed her shot under the keeper to make it 2-0.
Half Time 2-0
In the 44th minute Kylie Overton set Alex Witham and she fired her shot straight at the keeper from distance.
It was 3-0 shortly after when Kylie Overton played in Whitney Judd and she lifted the ball over the keeper for her third goal in three games.
4-0 came shortly after when an Anelle Massey through ball set Kylie Overton away and she placed her shot under the keeper.
Malgo got a goal back when a ball across the box was met by the striker who put the ball into the bottom corner.
The Ladies rung the changes in the second half to ensure tht everyone in the squad got a good amount of time on the pitch, in their quest for match fitness.
