The Weekend Preview: The firsts hit the road

The firsts take to the road this week, when they travel to Brighton Ladies and will be looking to continue the recent run of form.

They have lost just once in their last seven matches and they will want to continue that run against a side who are currently top of the League

Sarah Jones is missing through injury after breaking her foot in a match two weeks ago and Jodie Mugford will be missing a well through injury

So far this season

The Ladies come into the game having only lost one of their last seven games.

They came back from a goal down against QPR last weekend, thanks to a Vicky Ashton-Jones strike late in the game.
Brighton Ladies currently sit top of the pile, 7 points ahead of the Gills in the League.

Last weekend they fought their way back to a 2-2 draw away to Keynsham Town.

We’ve Met Before

The two sides have already met this season in the League.

It was the Brighton who took all three points in the previous fixture.

Danni Farmer gave the Gills the lead on the 19th minute straight from a corner before Amy Found scored with a 25 yard free kick to equal it up.

Stevie Lamb secured all three points for the travellers on the 63rd minute when she poked home unmarked from a corner.
