The Weekend Preview: Chelsea are in Town

Tomorrow afternoon see’s the first of two big friendlies for Gillingham Ladies in just a week.

Women’s Super League side Chelsea Ladies are the visitors to Chatham Town.

Chelsea are playing the ladies for the second season as part of their WSL pre-season preparations.

The WSL is heading into its second season and Chelsea are hoping to build on a solid start in their first season.

We’ve Met Before

The two sides have met just once and that came in a pre-season friendly last season.

The game was keenly fought and very close. The Gills went ahead through Natalie Crinean and only lost the game late on when goals from Emma Plewa and Drew Spence, sealed a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
